PROSPECTIVE PLAN 2021-22

Academic Plan

 

  • M.A English (Previous ) will be started in ensuing session 2021-22.
  • The Preparation for  compilation and consolidation of data for NAAC will be continued.
  • In view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, massive teacher trainings would be encouraged to effect online teaching and regular contact with the students.
  • When the college reopens, the positive effects of Back-to-Classroom would be turned into incremental advantages through regular classes, checks on absenteeism, regular class tests and assignments.
  • Rigorous analysis of past results in terms of trends and university merit would be carried out. Gaps would be identified and addressed wherever possible.
  • Mentorship groups would be used to build and supplement student aspirations and performance which would then reflect in results and placements.

Institutional plan

  • The college would make the fullest efforts towards a good performance in NAAC accreditation. Thus, all-round efforts in academic, cultural and extension activities would be made.
  • The college would focus on trainings and internships in the industrial and MNCs to improve employability quotient of the students.
  • Efforts would be made to repair and augment the dilapidated parts of the college infrastructure, till the new building is constructed.
  • The college would undertake clean-and-green drives towards systematic greening of the college campus.
  • The college would make arrangements for a more accessible library venue so that students could benefit from e-learning, on-line and multimedia resources towards a better tomorrow.
  • The college would focus on tapping community resources through alumni association.

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • As the necessary permissions had been granted, the college will rigorously pursue the construction of new college building. The present building is seriously dilapidated, and safety regulations will be strictly adhered to ensure the well-being of students and staff. The college also plans to create more learning spaces through community outreach.



ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES AND INITIATIVES

  • The college will organize a workshop/ seminar to apprise the staff of new modalities/ concerns of NAAC. The college also plans to give additional boost to community outreach programmes and generation of resources towards enhancement of student capability through internships, trainings and industry exposure. Focused remedial teaching would be undertaken to improve pass percentage and performance of students.
  • Teachers would be encouraged to participate in seminars and extension activities, and towards subject update through participation in various FDPs, conferences and seminars.

NSS AND YOUTH RED CROSS

  • To further strengthen the efforts of NSS and Youth Red Cross towards promoting student participation in community welfare. Since the college was highly appreciated and awarded for its social work in the villages of Chandawli, Tilpat and Ajraunda, these efforts would be further intensified and more students would be encouraged to take up voluntary community work. 

SPORTS

  • In Sports, the college continues to win various tournaments and athletic championships. Yoga and fitness would be given special attention to involve all college students towards healthier lifestyle practices.

WOMEN CELL

  • Women Cell of the college organizes various awareness and capacity building programmes towards creating a participatory and equitable atmosphere in the college. These efforts will be intensified in terms of confidence building and employability trainings.

NCC

  • NCC Army and Navy would be further strengthened and cadets would be guided towards qualifying armed forces exams.

ECO CLUB

  • To plan water conservation and water harvesting strategies and to create awareness regarding the same through focused programmes and rallies.  The college also plans to streamline the permanent supply of RO drinking water for students.
  • To plant at least 500 saplings and to create a garden of beneficial plants and trees like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Neem, Arjuna et cetera. 



ALUMNI AND COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

  • Regular interface with alumni and boosting its participation in college improvement is one of the top priorities of the college. This would help the college to bridge the gaps in capacity building. The college will create formal feedback mechanism to use it for focused improvements.



PROSPECTIVE PLAN 2018-19

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • In view of seriously dilapidated college building, the college would pursue the matter of a new building with the concerned authorities. 
  • Drinking water problem of the students will be the top priority of this session. New toilets will also be constructed through community participation.

SPORTS

  • The college grounds would be developed for more sports activities. Cricket and Kabaddi would be developed through specialized coaching. Martial Arts and self-defence would be given special attention as there is a lot of interest among the students for the same, especially girls.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

  • Various inter college and intra-college cultural festivals are usually organized in the college through various agencies. College will actively organize and participate in various contests in Fine Arts, Quizzing, Ragini and Public Speaking etc.

WOMEN CELL

  • Women Cell plans to organize several drives and motivational activities to promote the “Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao” initiative of the Government. Anemia and health drives for girls, Lectures on Domestic violence, Legal rights of Women, self-defense training and personality development are going to be special areas of focus. Street plays will be enacted to create an environment of understanding and mutual cooperation among the students. Issues of violence against women will be addressed through awareness programmes.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

  • NCC and NSS have been envisioned as Major social change agencies and will be involved in inculcation and promotion of various best practices like Yoga, Health Awareness, Tree Plantation, Environment Awareness among all, Disaster Management and Blood Donation.
  • A National seminar in Music is being planned.
  • Remedial classes to weak students are also a part of this year’s college agenda.
  • Youth Red Cross activities will be given special attention.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Skill acquisition and skill enhancement through training programmers Short-term skill-based trainings will be given special impetus. Placement, Mentorship and personality development through workshops will be given special attention. Training for On-line admissions to students in coordination with DC Office, Road safety, AIDS & Red Ribbon Club have been marked for special attention.
  • Teaching staff will be encouraged towards updating their subject knowledge through Seminars, Workshops and Conferences etc. Effective teaching-learning will also be a special area of focus. Smart class rooms will be developed towards integrating ICT in everyday teaching-learning.

PROSPECTIVE PLAN (2017-18)

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • A)The college had already submitted plans for construction of 2 floors of PG and UG Library Building.

       B) Further, the college has also sought assistance for construction of a Multi Facility Auditorium with a seating capacity of two thousand.

  •  The college also plans to seek assistance for constructing a girls’ Common Room with a seating capacity of one hundred with attached toilets and dispensary. 



HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Students and staff will be encouraged towards skill acquisition and skill enhancement through training programmers Short-term skill based trainings will be organized on a monthly basis especially through Earn-While-You Learn scheme. Training for On-line admissions to students in coordination with DC Office, Road safety, AIDS & Red Ribbon Club have been marked for special attention. 
  • As per the requirement, teaching staff will be sent to attend Seminars, Workshops and Conferences etc. This will help in better and effective teaching. Such programs augment teacher qualification to improve their qualities for better delivery of lectures in class rooms. Every year Workshops/Seminars are also organized in the college for up gradation of knowledge and enhancement of teaching skills.



SPORTS

  • We plan to prepare the college Basketball and Volleyball teams in the coming session. We plan to provide training in boxing in the college in the forth coming session. We would like to install Fiber glass Boards for Basket Ball in the college.

Academic:

  • The college will strive for better facilities for students in terms of access to text books and learning resources. 
  • Library grant will be used to acquire topical books and latest editions of support books for the students.
  • students will be consulted in what kind of books and study material they need, and their recommendations will be kept uppermost while visiting Book Fairs or inviting Book suppliers to display their books in the college.
  • Teachers will be encouraged to participate in conferences and seminars to upgrade their knowledge base.
  • In addition to the customary suggestion box, a survey will be planned to find out students’ views on academic transaction in the college.

Institutional

  • The college plans to aim at better community outreach. NSS, YRC and NCC will be encouraged to forge deeper links with the community. 
  • Student exchange programmes will be an area of focus, and the college will prepare a competitive dossier of volunteers/cadets who show promise in Youth Exchange Programmes.
  • The college will also focus on planning programmes that involve our students in better understanding of the constitution, electoral process, and systems of governance.
  • A visit to the Parliament of India would be organized if possible.
  • The college will participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the state. Various events will be planned to mark the 50 glorious years of Haryana.

Infrastructure

  • The college will pursue the case of construction of a new building. The existing premises has long been inadequate for the present student strength. 
  • Simultaneously, repairs will be carried out to keep the current building functional till the college gets a new building.
  • Student toilets will be repaired and drinking water facilities will be strengthened to ensure permanent drinking water for the students.



PROSPECTIVE PLAN 2015-16



Academic:

  • Library grant will be utilized to acquire books which are relevant to syllabus and career prospects both.
  • The departmental academic activities will be an area of focus, towards improving the application aspect of curriculum design.
  • Teachers will be encouraged to participate in conferences and seminars to upgrade their knowledge base.
  • The college will organize Science Exhibition and various events to prepare students for competitions.

Institutional

  • The college will build on the achievements of NCC, NSS and Youth Red Cross. 
  • The college will seek a leadership role in Cultural Activities. If possible, the college would volunteer to host the Zonal Youth Festival in this session.
  • Gender Studies and Women Empowerment programmes would be a special area of focus. Feasibility would be explored to hold a workshop on gender sensitization.

Infrastructure

  • The college would pursue the case of the new college building with the Head Office.
  • Cement benches would be placed around trees to create more learning spaces.
  •  A survey of the college waste disposal mechanism will be undertaken.
  • The EDUSAT equipment will be repaired and the room would also be used for Soft-skills lessons.
